Product Introduction

Two methods for greenhouse ventilation

With people's concern for the ecological environment and the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, growing vegetables has become a fashion and lifestyle. The advantages of greenhouse cultivation are obvious: larger range of crop cultivation, shorter planting cycle, better yield, etc. However, this also requires better ventilation to ensure the hygiene and production efficiency of the greenhouse environment. This article will introduce two methods of greenhouse ventilation.

1. Natural ventilation

Natural ventilation usually means that when the temperature, humidity or carbon dioxide concentration in the greenhouse is too high, the air is discharged through the windows or vents in the greenhouse to achieve the purpose of ventilation. Compared with mechanical ventilation, natural ventilation is relatively more economical and environmentally friendly.

The most important advantage of natural ventilation is that the ventilation cost is almost zero. This is because facilities such as windows and vents can be adjusted by their own materials and sizes to achieve air circulation in the greenhouse. In addition, natural ventilation also has the functions of preventing frost, regulating temperature and humidity, and increasing solar energy utilization.

However, natural ventilation also has some disadvantages. For example, natural ventilation requires a large number of windows, vents and other facilities to achieve. In addition, natural ventilation also has certain limitations on the regulation of air flow.

2. Mechanical ventilation

Compared with natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation uses a large amount of machinery and electricity to move air through fans to achieve ventilation. The advantage of mechanical ventilation is that ventilation rate and ventilation time can be voluntarily controlled, allowing for finer regulation.

Mechanical ventilation can achieve different air guide speeds and volumes to make the air flow evenly, thereby ensuring stable air quality. In addition, mechanical ventilation can also achieve better environmental control and increase production by controlling parameters such as temperature and humidity.

However, there are also some problems with mechanical ventilation. First of all, the operation and equipment maintenance costs of mechanical ventilation are high, which is one of the main reasons why mechanical ventilation is rarely used. In addition, the turbulence and noise generated by mechanical ventilation for a short period of time may also have an impact on the plants growing food.
